  Dual role by Joe Piscopo. Horses and shit. Sign me up. 

  Watching this movie I was thinking to myself how much better it would be if the horses spoke or had inner monologues. One minute later horses 🐴 inner monologue begins. Golden.  If you know me you know I love talking animals in film. Somewhat ridiculous/somewhat standard family film for its time. 

  Probably enjoyed more than I should’ve.

  Coralie Fargeat’s The Substance has its entire cast and crew firing on all cylinders. There’s absolutely no element of filmmaking that doesn’t shine here. Coralie has created a body horror masterpiece that will stick with you forever.

  First off I’ll start by saying if you’re a fan of Robert Eggers’ The Witch & The Lighthouse I think you’re pretty much guaranteed to enjoy this film. You know going in it is going to look incredible and it does. Personally when I watch films set in The 19th century or earlier I’m always worried about pacing and losing my interest at times. Eggers puts on a masterclass in pacing, evenly going back and forth between night time and day…
