    Never Die Alone

Growing up watching Cradle 2 the Grave 100+ times I always wanted to catch Never Die Alone. Finally got around to seeing it after waaaay too long. This film surprised me. Low budget stylized drama really was not what I was expecting but I'm glad it's what I got. Not sure what I expected but damn it was dark and gritty.

This is one of those mostly forgotten about type of films that I think people wish still existed. 3 mil budget and straight up letting artists be artists.

Also someone make a new transfer of this because it would look amazing.

You know it’s bad when it’s only 83 minutes and you still just can’t finish it….

Coralie Fargeat’s The Substance has its entire cast and crew firing on all cylinders. There’s absolutely no element of filmmaking that doesn’t shine here. Coralie has created a body horror masterpiece that will stick with you forever.

Looking forward to more people seeing the film so I can finally talk about it with others.

First off I’ll start by saying if you’re a fan of Robert Eggers’ The Witch & The Lighthouse I think you’re pretty much guaranteed to enjoy this film. You know going in it is going to look incredible and it does. Personally when I watch films set in The 19th century or earlier I’m always worried about pacing and losing my interest at times. Eggers puts on a masterclass in pacing, evenly going back and forth between night time and day…
