Sandra Hüller really earns the accolades she’s getting this year. The quiet, power she brings to the screen is mesmerizing here. What I find incredible is she is able to showcase both the required empathy of a devastated wife and mother with the undercurrent of desire to escape her marriage that would take her to the extreme thats being put on trial. Hüller relies on a reserve of willpower that girds her characters and creates uncertainty in the audience.
