  Possibly the most homoerotic of all the 80’s films, not one of Friedkins best and Peterson is the most inept cop since Clouseau and Drebin!.

  Counterfeiting doesn’t make for the most exciting of films or villains but it does have a fantastic car chase where Friedkin was trying to better The French Connection, he doesn’t succeed but it’s not far off.

  The rest room scene doesn’t get as much praise as Heat’s restaurant scene but is equally as good with the first screen face off between Hackman and Hoffman delivering the electricity expected.

  The rest of the film is an excellent if completely unbelievable court room thriller that Eastwood must have watched just before filming Juror #2.

  I refuse to go and see A Good Day to Die Hard because it looks horrendous so I put the original on whilst waiting for the Oscars to start and its still a classic.

  It highlights what's wrong with modern action movie making. It takes its time to introduce you to all the characters and makes you genuinely care about their fates, it has real action and no CGI or green screen and is thrilling and funny.

  Give me this, the original Lethal Weapon and Speed over the crap that is released week after week at the moment.

Following
