  “Random… Random House... Penguin Random House.”

  The writing and performance remain a 5/5 — not sure this could be more me-coded, as a self-proclaimed intellectual earth-sign millennial who was a “serious” child. 

  The stars come off for the visual choices of the special. Whereas Novak’s constant movement became almost soothing when I saw the show live (a constant metronome for her verbal gymnastics, keeping us all grounded in space), the editing here turns it into a visual assault. The array and timing of shots distracted me, despite allowing us to witness the fruits of her skincare routine✨
