One of the best and most unique movies I have ever seen. The mere fact that this movie was made is part of the beauty. I recommend this film to anyone that is pursuing a dream of any kind, from owning a street food stall to being a renowned film director. I think every person can relate to this movie at some point in their life, as we all long for admiration and recognition, no matter what age, race, or social status. A truly powerful film that is a glowing testament of why I love cinema as an art form.

Did this guy ever even step foot in Mexico? The movie treated these social issues like novelty, relying on surface level identity politics as “conflicts” that…

I swear this mf Kurosawa don’t miss, the best movie I’ve seen so far from him. A kidnapping story that will keep you guessing till the final scene
