Was better the second time around, highly respect the character and how dry the storytelling was. Pretty sick themes at play regarding morality (we live in a society😆).

Some conceptually great ideas executed very well. Effective use of flashbacks, you could tell it was a book adapted. Excellent acting all around. Thought Mark was doing a bit of a Trump thing in his performance. Naomi’s character writing is fire asf.

A kinda classic in this ‘fall from grace’ film, but I don’t think they had much to build with since DT wasn’t a really stellar guy in the first place, he was just a quiet guy, not someone with particularly high morals- so the film doesn’t feel as impactful and feels more like a reflection on America’s bourgeois than a specific story about a man’s descent into moral corruption.

Enjoyable filming, acting, writing, all really top notch though

Got fuxking sloshed on two margs watching this, would do it again

Interesting mix of styles- naturalistic, disconnected boob shots, mafia whenever David Krumholtz needs something. All good and fun. But it kinda made it feel a little banal as an episode in their life, but it’s a cool exploration into the adolescent girl coming of it, especially because it’s really not boy or high school centric at all- which is refreshing. Thanks 2000s.
