  Disgusting, hilarious, and charming in its own way. I was going back and forth between laughing my ass off and cringing in disgust constantly through the entire 125 minutes. This was in a packed theatre on opening night in a small town in Canada. Absolutely loved it. So excited to see where this franchise goes!

  If you have read the source material, then you will probably enjoy this! I think they did a pretty solid job of telling Jud’s backstory in a unique way - sticking to the stories he tells in the original Pet Sematary book, while also elaborating on them and getting creative. I thought they included the Mi’kmaq folklore in a respectful manner, and even had 2 native actors in lead roles! Definitely an important step up from pervious entries in the franchise, given the subject matter and lack of Indigenous representation in the past installations. 4/5
