A very heavy movie. The POV shooting was far from a gimmick. Really makes it feel like a movie about personal remembrance and making sure the horrors of the past don’t remain hidden

Mona Lisa Vito marries a Russian oligarch played by knock off Timothee Chalamet
Dragged a little bit at points, but I thought most of the middle was hilarious while still being serious at the right moments. And while I wasn't expecting the ending, I think it worked really well.
Gonna follow Zoe Saldaña's life plan when I too wash out as a public defender.
I think I know understand how people who don't like musicals feel when they watch a musical. At least the vaginoplasty song was fun

Was assuming the affair would be the driving force of the movie, so pleasantly surprised at the repressed lesbian angle instead. Judi Dench is just so throughly unhinged throughout the whole movie that you almost forget that Blanchett's character is also a terrible person. Blanchett's nails the flirty, flighty person that everyone loves, and Dench really sells the person who believes they're above everyone and never wrong despite their obvious lack of emotional awareness. The score and directing also both up the tension in a way that really makes it a thriller.
