Everybody knows that Christian Slater was broadcasting pirate radio out of his attic basement at one point in high school, and even though he was literally 'alone in the dark', Samantha Mathis could see right through him to the core.

Mark "Oh Hai" Hunter also shows promise as a foley artist with his creative slapping of fists on other body parts. The cigarettes are shot in a very cool way, but the jeep chase sequence makes the movie.

A stellar starring debut for Mikey Madison and a taste of her artistic prowess to come. Also commendable in this movie is the use of historic (period-specific) locations to solidify the setting and bring a dreamy atmosphere to the proceedings. Similar to The Love Witch (2016), this works as a tender homage to the bygone movies of its time. Wonderful stuff!

Let's talk about Old Leatherface. He is, essentially, an old man who made money in the pro wrestling business and bought some property but doesn't know what to do with it. Enter this…

A pretty good movie as far as military thrillers coupled with supernatural monster antics go. It's kind of a metaphor for British dudes running around in the woods.
