Daleks were often the fascists of the Doctor Who universe. They're obsessed with purity, they repel any form of humanism and at some point they even spoke german.
In the tradition of Chibnalls very complex and precise political commentary they're also feel kind off trump-era in this episode. It's the story about power hungry and greedy conservatives making a pact with the extreme right and soon being devoured by them. Clearly my favourite Dalek episode so far.

Some movies end in a cliffhanger. And then there is "Across The Spider-Verse". The moment the third act should start, instead of conflicts getting resolved you get the first act of the sequel. So there are no answers, just new questions.
But there is a reason why movies have third acts. This shameless attempt to get you to watch the sequel ruins any dramaturgy and meaning this movie could have.

For me this is a movie about control. People often have a desire to control as much as possible about their lives. But in reality many structures surrounding us just don't allow that. Beginning with capitalistic necessities and ending with societal norms we grew up with.
Henry really suffers under all of this but still cant change it. Like a child he wants to grow in all the directions but there is always something holding him back after taking the first step. And so he is just not made for the world he lives in.
