Best horror film in a while, by far. First scene had me locked in, creeped out, and anxiously curious. My birks were practically sliding off my feet from how sweaty they got by the end, though one particular theme that connected the story seemed a little random compared to how original everything else was. Definitely a joy seeing “Oregon,” used as the setting because there really is something sinister about those farmhouses and log cabins. & not to get all “ohhh…
It’s both devastating and beautiful to realize how lonely you were after you’ve finally experienced what not being alone feels like. Human instinct (if you’re mentally unwell) still keeps us yearning for unattainable conversations with those who’ve long slipped away though. A satisfying sense of closure is most certainly not on the other side of this door.
This was significantly more than a visual triumph for bait-craving homosexual viewers; the sight of two stunning actors making such believable love to each other is hardly my takeaway at least. Several other moments will definitely be lingering in my freshly injured mind for a while.
