Hilarious and great animation. I got a lot of laughs but the story was very tropey. Female character has to be a love interest, main characters have to argue and immediately make up, etc. I wish the story was more novel, it felt like the movie was held back by some of the plot contrivances.

It Follows 2014
Fantastic horror movie, one of my favorites. I remember seeing this for the first time in theaters and my friend and I both being so creeped out we kept looking over our shoulders on the way back to the car, lol.
Such a simple yet compelling and terrifying story. I love the timelessness that comes with the weird mix of technology like the shell phone. The soundtrack is awesome, I have the record and it’s a great listen even outside the context of the movie.
I did notice some mic clipping on this viewing that I never noticed before. Not a huge flaw but still interesting.

I loved this short. I think this may be my favorite of the Oscar nominated animation short films this year with Magic Candies being a close second. I enjoy stop motion as an art form in particular and I was easily won over by the art style and presentation of this short.
