While generally a very well liked film "The Big Short" struck me as condescending, overly simplistic and just not a very interesting movie narratively, "Vice" takes all the worst qualities of "The Big Short" turns it up to 11 in one of the most excruciating movies I've watched this year. Right off the bat, it asserts that Americans are just too stupid to even know who Dick Cheney is or what he was up to, an obvious falsehood. From Michael…

2nd time watching and better on the second viewing, I mean the cast is something special, a whole crew of dramatic actors capable of leading their own movies by themselves. Examples:

-Madonna's acting coach quit just before production began, claiming that "she thinks she knows everything". (Believable and hilarious)

-Madonna had five personal assistants for this film, including her own hairstylist, make-up artist and personal trainer. (Easily believable as well)

-Two of Madonna's more infamous scenes (one involving dripping candles, the other requiring her to masturbate) were improvised.…

Inchon is one of those movies where the IMDB trivia section feels like it deserves a whole movie onto itself. Highlights:

-Laurence Olivier was interviewed during the film's production and explained why he agreed to be part of its cast: "People ask me why I'm playing in this picture. The answer is simple. Money, dear boy. I'm like a vintage wine. You have to drink me quickly before I turn sour. I'm almost used up now and I can feel…
