Whisper of the Heart 1995
I don’t think it had the typical flair a studio G film has. Didn’t feel any connection with any of the characters and it was too corny for me. I was also expecting this film to be fantasy/adventure like most of these films, the poster indicates it to be one but it ended up being a slow paced drama/ romance which really let me down. It’s probably my fault for not looking into it enough but either way it wasn’t very engaging at all.

Another bong John ho political satire with similar themes of social class and mobility which feature in his other films such as parasite and snowpiercer. It had a good message with Patterson playing a great part/parts but mark ruffalos charecter is a very shallow antagonist. Despite this it’s well paced and full of action possibly having one too many unfunny jokes but still a good time and well worth a watch.
