When I first saw the trailer for Novocaine, I was hyped—not necessarily for the movie itself, but because it had Jack Quaid, and I’m a huge fan of The Boys. From the trailer, it looked like something straight out of the ’90s, the kind of film that would’ve gone straight to DVD. But I’ve got to admit—I was dead wrong. What I got was an absolute blast.

The film does a fantastic job of pulling you into Nate’s (or as…

This film was incredibly well done—hopefully the first of many NEON productions on my list to watch. The cast was excellent, filled with familiar faces, and what stood out most was how every character had their moment to shine. No one felt unnecessary or out of place.

Set in Brighton Beach, Brooklyn, Sean Baker’s fourth film is a wild ride through the American Dream—or, to me, a twisted take on Pretty Woman. From start to finish, we follow Anora (Madison), a stripper in one of New York’s predominantly Russian neighborhoods, as she navigates a whirlwind romance with Ivan (Eydelshteyn), a young Russian foreigner and son of an oligarch. When Ivan requests someone who speaks Russian at the club, Anora becomes his pick, unaware of his wealth. What…
