Incredibly beautiful movie, definetly not what I expected.
Masaaki Yuasa webs music, love, culture, socio-political commentary into a movie that is insanely entertaining. From the moments of Tomoari learning to play the biwa in the country side like a 14th century Bob Dylan to the elaborate dancing and cross-cultural experiences of him & Inu-Oh's concerts, to the ending are just so well crafted and nothing like I've seen.
