While Erivo and Grande’s performances were nothing short of amazing in the dance and song numbers, I couldn’t help but be disappointed with the directors choices (with and without relation to the musical). Scared the hell out of me as a kid but couldn’t stop watching. Joan Collins as the stepmother and witch- too damn good.
Immediately brings me back to the 90’s picking this out at the library after my siblings and I had gotten into the Faerie Tale Theatre collection. This is where I met queen Shelley. Rewatched a couple years ago on YouTube and it’s still a banger. Would choose the brownie shingles to eat. 😛
