  You know the paradoxical feeling that’s equal parts loneliness and comfort when you’re sitting on the bus or the train heading somewhere, surrounded by strangers all heading somewhere, and for that brief time, all your paths converge? This movie felt like that: loud yet quiet, public and deeply private, and jaded yet hopeful. The interviews overlayed with the cityscape of Mumbai will stay with me.

  Saw this live on 35mm at the Music Box with Roger Deakins himself doing a Q&A after the showing. I mean, really doesn’t get any better than that. SO glad we saw this in theaters. The train robbery sequence. The whole ensemble. Pitt. Affleck. What a force.
