Idek. I saw this 3 days ago and looking back it feels like a fever dream now. Suns has intermissions, and this film kinda has 2 acts anyways, so I’ll say the 2nd act is absolutely brilliant filmmaking. In the first half it’s a little bit hard to pick up on the tone, and second act kinda forces you to unlearn everything you thought you might find out in a really spellbinding way. Hopefully a big year for me personally with Japanese cinema.
Perfect "I just left New York thinking I live there after a long weekend visit" movie. Characters can be...dynamic? Wowzers.
