Yojimbo 1961
Although Yojimbo doesn’t quite hit the highs of seven samurai, it is an excellent film.
Packed full of great expressive characters, clever story telling, and a pacing that stays consistently steady all the way through till the end.
Watching both Yojimbo and Fistful of Dollars back to back is a great way to experience these films I’ve learned as they’re essentially mirrors of each other set during one of the most crucial moments in history for both countries.

It feels like this film would severely frustrate those who are readers of the original book and confuse those going in blind.
