  Atrocious. Awful. Irredeemable. 1 hour 50 minutes of an unwatchable, self-serving, picayune, jejune, mean-spirited, whiny, spiteful excuse for filmmaking. I couldn’t name the last time I’ve seen a “protagonist” who was this unsympathetic.

  The cumulative ten minutes where it’s only Ken on screen is the best Ryan Gosling performance I’ve seen in my life. He personified an inspiring, uplifting, pure, heartfelt joy. Being open and genuine and loving life as yourself is an act of counterculture. Ken makes me want to be the man I should be, can be, and will be.
