    Seems like Friedkin’s own remake of Sorcerer, getting it right this time. You get the full picture of Chance not like the Roy Scheider character who flashes back to ONE dumb moment when his is obviously a life full of them. Friedkin’s muddy realism has everyone mum. What kinds of discussions can these men have when there's no one to trust? Big problem there.

    But Chance as Secret Service gets to talk to numerous characters and lie to them gleefully.…
