Mean Girls 2024
Mean Girls (2024) was a movie I went into with low expectations as I am usually not a fan of musicals (exceptions being Hamilton and La La Land). As a fan of the original Mean Girls (2004) I ended up enjoying this film quite a bit. The modernization of the jokes were mostly hits and the performances by the cast both in acting and singing were great.

Leave the World Behind 2023
As a fan of Sam Esmail’s other works (e.g. Mr. Robot) this film was exactly what I wanted it to be. A suspenseful, realistic drama that points its attention to its deep characters and their reactions to what is happening in the world they are a part of. Through a master class in cinematography to build the world of Leave The World Behind and excellent acting performances (especially Mahershala Ali), this film and its message will resonate with me for a while.
