Aside from the transphobia and EXTREMELY ANXIETY INDUCING scenes in this film, it's actually pretty great. Fun, funny, sad, heartbreaking, heartwarming. Great range in this film. Robin Williams ability to go from serious to hilarious was always so impressive, and this movie showcases that well.
As a nostalgia watch it holds up well, except that as a kid I was far more chill about all the nailbiting potentially-explosive-nearly-reputation-ruining scenes. I don't think I understood the weight of an important business meeting or why I should care what some elderly social worker thought of somebody back then.
