We Need to Talk About Kevin 2011
The horrifying disfigurement of a mother is one of my favorite tropes. The first social link you ever know is rejecting you, how do you navigate life after that? Is a measly excuse for independence enough, or is shooting a school the next level? The time switches from front to back really made this film come together in a suspense-filled narration, like an in crescendo of how far can this fucking kid go.

This is my first 5-star review. I don't give out 5 stars often because I always feel like something is missing. Not the case with this piece of art.
