  Definitely not Pixar's strongest outing, it's easy to see why they sandwiched it between Inside Out and Finding Cash, er, Dory. The storyline is fairly classic "coming of age" but generally kind of loses you from time to time. If anything, I spent more time contemplating the stark contrast between the vivid, hyper-realistic landscapes and Arlo's Wallace and Grommit shiny cartoon-ness.   The kind of feel-good "life story" film your mom will love. The schmaltz is thick, but the visuals are pretty.

  Side note: don't watch this as an inflight movie.

  Absolute classic. Helps you forget the typecast version of Hugo Weaving that is cold and menacing… he's genuinely fantastic and empathic in this movie. And Guy… oh, lord. You have to watch this movie for Guy Pearce.

  Bonus, you get to see some awesome portions of the outback.
