I will forever be chasing the high that watching this movie gave me after eating gentrified Mexican food in Cupertino that someone else’s family paid for.
Were there flaws? Yes. Did I still enjoy every second? Absolutely. Initially was going to have a rating of 4 stars but added an extra half for reminding me to schedule an appointment with my gynecologist.

Crossroads 2002
I went into this movie expecting it to be a cheese-fest, but this is now one of (if not my number one) favorite coming-of-age movie to date. It’s charming, genuinely relatable, occasionally raw, and takes on very heavy topics but is still light enough to keep a smile on your face. They do shoe-horn in a couple scenes of Britney singing that may not be super essential to the plot, but they’re absolutely delightful.
Also watching young Britney Spears AND Zoe Saldaña star in the same movie is truly crazy.
