  a mediocre show that contributes to the poor representation of orthodox jews in media. while this was loosely based on a true story and has a decent message, it falls into tropes that often negatively generalize the diverse orthodox community (not to mention the sheer inaccuracy of even basic details around the community portrayed). regardless, shira haas and amit rahav perform beautifully.

  however if another rando asks me if i’m gonna shave my head when i get married because they saw this show and think they know everything about orthodox judaism i might lose it lol xoxo
