Aftersun 2022
Such a simple but powerful film. The movie follows the relationship of a young father and his daughter post divorce having a holiday experience together. Flashbacks of the holiday come from the daughter later in her life reminiscing about their time abroad through old DVR tapes and real memories. The film brought out a huge sense of nostalgia and the ending was one of the most powerful closing scenes I’ve seen. Very well done overall and is the director, Charlotte Wells debut feature film, so one to watch out for. Paul Mescal and Frankie Corio both brilliant.
