  In a world full of movies about multiverses, this movie truly stands alone. The multiverse aspect is used only to further the character development and get to the core of the story- the bond between mother and daughter. The love of the Wang family drives this movie forward and dares the audience to give a shit when it’s becoming easier and easier to not care. Maybe nothing does matter but even so, why not love?
