I'm vomiting thoughts here for some reason.
Despite dropping an image once every ten minutes that had me grinning, the first half didn't quite work for me.
Something overwrought about the overly fussy, choreographed camera moves and the overbearing score dragged it down during what is my favourite part of the novel.

There's a young wan who my wife and i assumed was a spy because she kept trying to seduce this old hotel manager (flatley) who everyone inexplicably loves. Then we realised that he's just meant to be ridiculously attractive to her and both cracked up.
He's created a world where everyone thinks he's cool and everyone laughs at his jokes. It's both mortifying and great craic to see from the outside.
