i love me a second watch because I feel like first watch I am always having an out of body metaphysical experience of pure and utter joy and then….second watch. Mystic. I’m Sherlock going to crack the case. This movie rocks more on a second watch. Bitch am I stupid or did I not realize that was Isabella Rossellini?!?!!!!! Gagged. Someone needs to revoke my film bro membership badge for that one tho.

any time I find a woman director that’s newish to me I am always and I mean always shocked at how ahead of time the films are. Joan Micklin Silver is a delightful, charmingly feminist, deeply moving and combining the 80s romcom with the film works of the greats like hitchcock & varda. If you have ever had a grandma who was really into making potpourri, you know the sensation I’m rocking with. All this to say, I’m into it.
