I enjoyed about 70% of the movie. It was more of an action movie at times then tried to be a comedy. There wasn’t really any horror at the situations, it was kind of played for comedy or a set up for an action sequence.
I felt like the whole movie had a comic book sort of feel or kind of cartoonish vibe but the tone shifted constantly. For the most part it worked but eventually became lackluster. Worth a watch but might not be what your expecting.
Great Behind the scenes of incredible classic movies and how the special effects were made for the big screen. So many great looks at the history in horror movies and How Tom Savini shaped that history.
Towards the end there’s a few interviews that seem extraneous where they no longer are talking to people directly related to Tom Savini. I think the whole thing could’ve been shorter with some fat cut.
Still worth a watch, especially if you are into horror.
Great evil kid Superman story, great cast and had me guessing to the end. Surprised by how graphic the violence was, they used that R rating well.
Wish there was more follow up on the ending. Seemed like a set up movie for something bigger. I also wish there was more back story to explain the origin of the kid. Overall very satisfying and worth a watch.
I enjoyed it, first act was funny definitely got me interested in where it was going, the characters are interesting and by the second act twist I was on the edge of my seat, the third act was good just not quite strong enough of an ending. I feel like it had like 3 endings in a row where the first one would have had more impact if it was left there.
