Opus is interesting! It took until the very end to reveal the point, but up until then I was entertained by the craft of the film. The cinematography does some really cool things and the whole film is beautifully lit. Kudos also to the production design and costume design.

Mickey 17 is real cute, but could definitely hit harder. It feels very slow and low energy, with strange pacing that took forever to do anything. It falls flat. At certain points I wanted more pizzazz like some score or something, but then there are also a couple chaotic moments where way too much starts happening at once.

Pearl is a perfect masterpiece. No shade to X, but it sits miles above the preceding film in every way. Where X lacks depth but is somehow also slow paced, Pearl is an evenly paced deep dive, which is also miles more visually and sonically exciting.
