  I watch this movie around Thanksgiving almost every year since I first viewed it.
  The estranged relationship between April and her mother/also her family is extremely relatable for me and I'm sure others.
  This film is so humble and underated and April tries so hard to make her Thanksgiving special for her family it makes me cry every time. Also the sense of community with her neighbors is a journey on its own and the love between her and her partner feels so organic and real.

  I wish we got more of the evil fairy and I wish the movie was less literally dark (as in hard to see unless all your lights are off and even then)
  I liked the concept and it reminded me of pans labyrinth. The imagery itself was fantastically grim but it's missing something all together
