  The visuals are spectacular, the music outrageously good, and the acting is spectacular.

  So why do the characters kinda suck ass? Pinnochio is not likeable enough, Sebastian j cricket was great but they kept abusing him as if “everyone hates this guy fuck him!”. 

  The middle to last third of the movie is genuinely good, until the ending, where it’s just a fucking downer, and then I realized none of the themes or lessons of Pinocchio were present which is questionable. I’m so conflicted, it’s so pretty but god is it devoid of what makes a story good

  Visually stunning, revolutionary in a lot of ways, but also is a movie that ultimately doesn’t have a lot to say overall, and doesn’t really have a character arc. Very “blade runner-esque.”
