Watching the film for the first time I found the last 10 minutes so unnecessary, as I felt they ridiculed the whole character of the film. But on second thought, I can see that it was literally a repetition on the point of the film, the more you try to pursue 'perfection' with unnecessary additions, the more you risk altering it by ruining it.
