  so I stared at the country of origin for a while.
  I had my doubts but decided to give it a shot anyway
  and the only disappointment ended up being my discovery of my own prejudice towards contemporary Russian films (bc I’m slavic)

  For me the story explored the toxicity of oldschool-minded soviet upbringing and how it can poorly influence kids of contemporary world. I believe this topic should be widely discussed and I admire the movie for bringing it up…
