I wasn’t sure what to expect going into this one, but I typically love Wes Anderson so my hopes were higher than average - and man this movie just didn’t do much at all for me. I never felt like I really got invested in what was happening, even amidst the trademark charm

Agree that the final act left me underwhelmed a touch, to the point that I wasn’t sure if I’d missed a scene or two in the payoff. But I loved it from start to finish, and found myself asking God for wisdom in how to navigate these same kind of politics and challenges as they come up in my ministry life. Absolutely love Fiennes, Tucci, Lithgow, and all the major players. What a brutal and touching scene with Adeyemi - there’s some seriously complex notions of guilt and lifetime culpability there.
Really good movie, enjoyable pacing, strong performances all around
