As I admire the usual work of the director, this movie was absolutely forgettable. As we like to call it a "pot puree" of different ideas mixed together resulting in an unvisionary Saturday evening sci-fi cartoon. In which the sci-fi setting is designed boringly, the philosophical topics are left behind, the satire is not really having any punch and the story is this typical writing of zigzagging around, so sort of there is a cluster in the end of situational comedies.
The prologue started quite well, but as further as it goes on, it looses it's focus, it's visionary spirit and any comedic value.
Of all the oscars nominations this year, my definitively favourite one. A plummer there wasn't the "moonlight" effect this year. Whatever, it's heartwarming and reflecting on masculinity in itself in a sensible way and showing prisoners from a different side than you usually see on the big screen. One of the best jail movies, I've seen in the last ten years. An absolute recommendation.
Where should I start, I must admit that my expectations weren't so high. I liked the previous one, but I never saw it as a masterpiece. And still I came out disappointed from Dune part two. Because I didn't expect so many flaws.

It's in several ways terrifying to watch this movie in the cinema, while having just read before the newspaper about the current world situation. This is not too recommdable.
But nevertheless I recommend Alex Garland anti-war roadtrip through the scenario of a civil war in the United States. An interesting depiction of a what if, through the lenses of a war photography team greatly played by the actors.
