Star Wars: Episode III – Revenge of the Sith 2005
I know it’s bad practice, but I can’t help but be influenced by external media with this one. Even in a vacuum though, it’s still a significantly better movie than Phantom Menace and Attack of the Clones. Man I’m sorry Will, but this just isn’t working out for us. Like I know you’re in good movies, but I seem to avoid all of them. This one isn’t horrible, just a big step back from a very fun predecessor. I’m not sure how to diagnose it, but it just doesn’t hit the same as the original.

Star Wars: Episode II – Attack of the Clones 2002
There’s about half of this movie that I thoroughly enjoy… and half that I find really unfortunate. There are so many holes you can poke in this movie, and yet, I still love a lot of the ideas it introduces. The fact that I fairly regularly think about how it could be altered or “fixed” is a testament to how much I enjoy the concepts in this movie. Ultimately, I still enjoy this movie, but I also recognize how deeply flawed it is.

This movie pissed me off like nothing else. Man where do I even start?
The revenge storyline is so flimsy, and Lucius’ character swings are completely nonsensical. A majority of the characters are forgettable or underbaked (yes, that includes the lead).
The battles are underwhelming and lack any semblance of stakes or gravity.
