Maybe the best set design and cinematography I have ever seen. I understand what the criticisms of the narrative are, and I can sympathize, but my problem lies more with Abdel as a character. By all means he had drank the Kool-Aid of being a lieutenant, and his actions show just that. Upon the death of Karim, however, his change in tune at least to me is unsatisfactory. I feel his response would command significantly more depth than simply mirroring his brother's conscious. Also, I feel if you don't like the ending, its a bit of a self report.

The first shot of the Apollo program made me emotional beyond words. An ever changing and developing species: a process any bright kid would jump on any chance to help: a process defined by the combined labor, effort, and passion of thousands of people: the antithesis of apartheid. It all passes these boys by, and for what? To defend a soulless and emotionally emaciated white society that suppresses all things good. A textbook example of how to represent dehumanization. The best movie of 2024. Of course the ending made me cry.

Realistically the entire character arc of Demi's character made little sense, why lose your mind so heavily when it was literally you who did it?
