Deeply moving. Something the documentary doesn't discuss, although is exemplified by the film itself, is that almost all discourse about perinatal mental health is focused on mothers. Mental health crisis in fathers, even when resulting in abandonment or murder-suicide, isn't treated with the same levels of fear, shame, and hatred as in mothers. This distinction in emotional baggage, which can't be reduced only to issues of prevalence or severity, mirrors the historical parallels made throughout the film. Troubled women are witches, troubled men are what exactly?
