I have seen it 4 times now…. Needless to say I am OBSESSED ; it has been a long time since a movie has had a chokehold on me like this…. So many of the shots are so beautiful and don’t even get me started on the soundtrack. I love everything about this film.

The Substance 2024
So trippy, makes you wonder what is real and what is isn’t. Such an intense and well done film.
Update after relishing on it: this film has not left my mind. The layers and complexities of the allegory of female perspective and how women view themselves based on how society and men view women is the real horror in the story. It almost seems laughable at how extreme it’s portrayed but I think that it does a truthful job at portraying how extreme those emotions feel.
