Very difficult to review, as much of the second act is extremely convoluted at best, and at worst tiresome. Coming off the first movie, I initially found this quite disappointing, lacking the humour of the first film and what is so equated with Stephen Chow.
However, the final act was heartfelt and beautiful. Chow manages to capture feelings of genuine loss from the ramifications of divine fate and ultimately, the acceptance of things as they are. Love is pain as the movie says, and portrays this in its finale with touching grace and wisdom.
A ok movie with an amazing ending.

Not bad, however felt that the nods to the franchise were forced and unnecessary. Movie shines the most when it attempts something new and when it embraces its story without preconceptions of Alien or the Xenomorph
