The final scene just blew me away. Those images of the cops was so different from the tone of the rest of the film and broke down the sense of wild-west type of law enforcement. I can't believe how underappreciated Ferrara is compared to other New York-based directors.
Found this very unengaging and dull. Using narrative tricks and clichés from B-horror movies and driving them to the edge (such as naming your characters after their main traits) is a fun idea, but after 15 minutes it got rather tedious. There were some fun moments and the effects were very cool but the 'crazyness' everyone seems to praise felt empty as I wasn't the involved in the story at all.
Tell me I'm wrong, I wanted to enjoy this.
