Beautifully shot! Every inch of the dazzling Pacific Northwest is captured. No green screens is such rarity and elevates not only the action sequences but the quiet moments. The natural beauty is contrasted with the horrific ideology of the Aryan white supremacists. A character reads the “Turner Diaries” (neo nazi fantasy about taking over the government) to his child as a bedtime story, absolutely chilling. Appreciate the unflinching view of white supremacy that is unfortunately very relevant in 2025.

Lynch was way ahead of his time in portraying suburbia as terrifying. What the hell did I just watch?

Edit: Seeped into my subconscious and gave me strange dreams. Lynch is one of a kind!

I can’t think of another movie where the sound of a gun firing felt so visceral. Some have critiqued the movie for staying neutral, but this movie isn’t about the causes of a civil war. It’s about showing the hellish reality of sectarian violence.

The theater I went too was locked in the entire time. Jesse Plemmons gives one of the best performances in recent memory.

Felt like a long cutscene in a video game. I don’t mean that as a bad thing! The abandoned station gave me major Dead Space vibes, and I found most of the set pieces thrilling.

Continues the franchise tradition of having the most competent and bravest character a woman. Cailee Spaeny does a wonderful job!

Could have used 25% less fan service. Would have worked better as a simple story rather than delving into the lore of the original franchise and the recent prequels.

Between this and Industry David Jonsson having a little moment!
