This didn’t fully click with me the first time I watched it (I think because I was so frustrated by the lack of closure). But going into it for a rewatch a few years later knowing the killer won’t be caught on screen, this is really an incredible movie. First of all, it’s absolutely gorgeous. Cinematography is incredible, from the shot staging, to the saturated colors of the wheat fields. The acting is incredible, especially how the two detectives’ personalities…
