11 year old me was hooked on this book series. not sure how it took so long for a film adaption to be made. this adaption however, is shallow and superficial. it is overly cgi lookin trash and the plot void and oversimple. i feel like the series could have been quite cool if it was made 15 years ago when the book hype was at its peak and if it was made in the right hands, but unfortunately this adaption feels condemned to be left in the black hole of meaningless lack luster netflix films to be ignored and forgotten forever xxx
